New Frontiers in Learning and Work - 5 and 6 July 2012

The Adult Learning Symposium offers a strategic platform to bring together key stakeholders in people development and learning for greater collaboration and exchange of insights. It aims to further the knowledge and development of Professionals in the fields of Human Resource Development (HRD), Continuing Education and Training (CET) and Vocational Education by launching a community-wide discussion in CET practice, design, delivery and assessment. In doing so, the Institute for Adult Learning Singapore hopes to lead CET professionals in translating their knowledge and experience into best practices in CET design and delivery.

In 2012, IAL will be organising the fourth Symposium on 5 and 6 July at the Resorts World Sentosa. Besides hearing from the best international and local thought leaders and practitioners on the latest solutions, case studies and trends in CET, the Symposium will widen its offerings to delegates, including:

Showcasing the latest in learning tools and innovation in CET design, delivery and assessment/evaluation
Unveiling the latest research into Work and Learning
Facilitating business exchange where HRD and CET professionals can seek out business and collaboration opportunities
Enabling on-site and on-line networking with like-minded professionals to initiate and build connections for enhanced knowledge exchange

The symposium will comprise new elements besides the conference. They are an exhibition showcase which aims to generate awareness of new CET learning tools and approaches, as well as a business platform to facilitate opportunities for collaboration and for companies to seek out needed CET expertise.

The theme for the Symposium is New Frontiers in Learning and Work.
