Skills in Effective Negotiations: An online course from the University for Peace Centre for Executive Education, Starts March 15th!

Mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution are skills used in international development, corporate settings and in personal relationships on a daily basis. People who are talented in these abilities have an edge in their personal and professional lives. This course aims to provide participants with the skills needed to be effective and successful communicators through mediation and negotiation both in their careers and individual lives.

During this interactive online course, we will study and explore negotiation theory, conflict resolution skills and mediation practices. We will be looking particularly at strategies and tactics for negotiation, negotiation across cultures, basics of conflict analysis and resolution, and other specific mediation situations. This course is designed to provide the participants with knowledge and skills that will allow you to become a more effective negotiator.

Course Cost: •$895 regular tuition rate. United Nations mandated University for Peace certificate awarded upon completion of the course. •$595 special rate for participants enrolling from developing countries (according to the International Monetary Fund's World Economic Outlook Report, April 2010). United Nations mandated University for Peace certificate awarded upon completion of the course. •$375 for auditors. Auditors have access to the course website, including all course readings/materials, and can follow along with the online discussions but are unable to contribute to them. Auditors are not able to submit assignments for review by the instructor(s). The auditor option is a very good alternative for individuals interested in participating who may have financial restrictions or time constrains. No scholarships available.
