Diabetes is fast becoming the 21st century’s major public health concern. NHS research has revealed that diabetes is causing 24,000 needless deaths a year in England alone and is costing the NHS £9 billion a year.
Diabetes 2012 assembles some of the most highly respected professionals in the fields of diabetes, endocrinology, obesity and general practice to discuss the current issues and challenges involved in managing diabetes and why it’s such a difficult disease to tackle.
