Climate change is causing the Arctic to change. Declining sea ice means more efficient shipping corridors. There is also a growing interest in tapping the large estimated reserves of oil and gas in the Arctic Ocean.

But how do we prepare? How can we balance international and local interests? What are the commercial prospects, strategic challenges and risks of Arctic development?

The goal of the Arctic Imperative Summit is to sharpen the focus on the policy and investment needs of the U.S. Arctic by providing a forum for leaders from all disciplines to collaborate on solutions.

Join us in Alaska for the second annual Summit on August 24-28, 2012. Participate in provocative policy discussions, industry working groups, investor roundtables and tours focused on responsible investment in the region.

Last year, the Summit brought together more than two-hundred leaders, including residents from the villages that comprise Alaska’s coastal communities; state, national and international leaders; the heads of shipping and industry; international policymakers and the news media. Don't miss this opportunity to share ideas with influential stakeholders and help shape future development in the region.
