CALL FOR PAPERS AND PARTICIPATION

The Board of ANZTSR invites the submission of abstracts for full papers, case studies and research reports, and proposals for panels and symposia related to research and practice in the third sector and related areas.

How is sustainability conceived and enacted in the third sector and in relations between sectors? What are the challenges to and success factors for sustainable organisation(s) in the third sector? How can we identify and examine ways to ensure the ongoing sustainability of the third sector?

All papers on regular third sector matters such as inter-sector relations, governance, management and volunteering are also welcome. The conference is an opportunity to explore and discuss emerging trends.

Conference themes are:

â– Sustainable constituencies and communities, democracy and social change
â– Sustaining participation and advocacy for social change
â– Environmental sustainability and the third sector
â– Sustainable third sector governance, organisational management and service delivery
â– Sustainable resource management: finances, fundraising and volunteering
â– Social entrepreneurship, social enterprise and social innovation
â– Theories and approaches for sustainable third sector research
Who should attend:

â– Voluntary and non profit sector practitioners
â– Employees and managers working in third sector organisations, charities and community organisations and mutuals
â– Academics in fields including but not limited to third sector, social policy, public policy and political science, organisational studies, philanthropy
â– Representatives of public sector agencies working with third sector and community organisations
â– Volunteers and representatives of organisations who work with third sector and community organisations
