Module Description: The purpose of this CE activity is to equip leaders with essential tools for success and longevity in the complex, rapidly changing, and relationship-intensive environment of health care.

“Personal Effectiveness” – Betty Noyes
Module Description: This module introduces the basic principles of personal and professional strategies to enhance personal effectiveness in the complex and demanding world of health care.

Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this CE activity, participants will be able to:

•Apply specific skills and strategies to increase personal resilience, effectiveness, and work/life balance resulting in less likelihood of career “burnout”.
•Identify the definition of Resiliency and how it relates to leadership effectiveness.
•Identify how inaccurate thinking and perspectives can lead to non-resilience.
•Identify their personal Explanatory Style and how it affects their response to adversity.
•Identify alternative thoughts and perspectives to lead to more accurate problem solving an effectiveness.
•Demonstrate an ability to understand and communicate their internal experience.
•Understand the link between personal accountability and taking action to achieve goals and objectives

Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this CE activity, participants will be able to:

•Increase awareness of self-management strategies to support personal and professional leadership effectiveness.
•Identify a variety of approaches to integrate ongoing change and create a learning environment within their organization.
•Identify means to manage personal energy and expand capacities.
•Identify means of enhancing support from their personal and professional community.
•Write a values-based and leadership commitment statement suitable to share with others.
