Mobile DevCamp NYC 2012
Venue: 60 Reade
|Event Date/Time: Apr 27, 2012||End Date/Time: Apr 29, 2012|
|Registration Date: Apr 28, 2012|
Mobile DevCamp is inspired by BarCamp, SuperHappyDevHouse, and MacHack, to develop cloud applications for iPhones, iPads and Android devices of all kinds. This follows the previous iPhoneDevCamp events held in Palo Alto since 2007 and in NYC since 2009. Out of town guests are welcome. Attendees will include Apple iOS developers, Google Android developers, web developers, UI designers, and testers, all working together over the weekend.
The event will kick off on Friday night with a mixer and keynote address by CodeFab CEO, Alex Cone, at our Hell’s Kitchen party location. Saturday morning will begin with speakers on cloud computing and a round table discussion of the issues and solutions integrating cloud and mobile technologies. This year our hackathon will be held at a fantastic Tribeca space at 60 Reade Street where developers will be provided free wifi, pizza and energy drinks. In response to overwhelming demand, hackers will be able to hack until midnight on Saturday - 6 more hacking hours than in previous years! Sunday will see the conclusion of the Hackathon Challenge, with team presentations of each entry, an awards ceremony, and, for best application in show, prizes of new iPad 3s for the winning team!
