About the event
For the purpose of developing various upstream resources including petroleum, gas, coal and salt, achieving orderly development of new energy, persisting in profound transformation and effective utilization, extending the industry chain constantly and bringing about high-end development, Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group, Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group, Sinopec, Datang, Yankuang, Shenhua, Dow plan to invest RMB 500 billion in the 12th Five-year Plan period to construct more than 50 key projects, which will be based on the petroleum and gas industry and with the integrated chemical engineering of petroleum, gas, coal and salt and the fine chemical engineering as their cores.
Shaanxi Province is one of the most important energy and chemical industry bases in China. In order to promote internationalization of domestic industry and improve the added value of down-stream energy and chemical products, Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group will make joint efforts with the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of Shaanxi Province and Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group to hold the 2012 China Energy Chemical International Forum, which will be held in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province in August 29th 2012.
