The new standard is designed to help employees better understand the hazards of the chemicals with which they are working. In addition, changes to the Hazard Communication Standard will affect hazard classification, labeling, material safety data sheets and training. Also, new criteria have been established for Hazard Classification in order to address physical hazards of chemicals, and chemical mixtures.
Upon completion of this webinar attendees will :
- Be aware of the changes to the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard.
- Identify the steps needed to upgrade their written workplace hazard communication standard.
- Recognize the different categories of hazards now required under the new standard.
