SCOPE
The special session on Collaborative Information Systems and Social Networks draws on the recent trends of moving collaborative
work to world-wide highly distributed systems taking advantage of Web 2.0 technologies and cloud computing, to name just a few.
Blogging, for example, is a wide information field, with more than 150 million blogs with content spanning a large area of human
knowledge, prone for application of advanced technologies related to data mining and knowledge management and preservation.
Similar concerns are valid for other types of information structures based on Web 2.0 technologies and social networking.
