INTRODUCTION
In spite of continued scientific uncertainties, there is an increasing body of evidence of climate change and variability with far reaching consequences that provides a basis for genuine public concern. In the light of this the conference on ‘Climate Change and Variability: Saving Our Tomorrow Today’ has been scheduled for the 5th to 9th of November, 2012 at the Department of Geography and Regional Planning, University of Benin, Benin City. The aim of the conference is to examine the concept of climate change and variability, the fundamental challenges they pose to the human race and the world ecosystems, and how we can save our tomorrow today.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS/PAPERS
The Local Organizing Committee on behalf of the Council of NMetS hereby calls for the submission of abstracts and full papers on any of the sub-themes. Authors willing to present papers at the conference should submit abstract(s) of not more than 250 words on or before October 5, 2012 . The abstract and full paper MUST be in a Microsoft Word, A4 with 12 font size, double spacing, Times New Roman, 1cm margin and 5 keywords. The abstract should contain rationale for the study, aim/objectives, methods adopted, key findings and recommendations. Full paper(s) with APA referencing Format, should not exceed 20 pages and must get to the LOC by October 25th, 2012. Quality papers will be published in the NMetS Journal and Book of Proceedings. All paper presentations must be in Microsoft PowerPoint. Both Abstracts and Full Papers should be e-mail to:
