The aim of the ICBEC conference series is to provide a forum for laying the foundations of a new principled approach to Biology, Environment and Chemistry. To this end, the meeting aims to attract participants with different backgrounds, to foster cross-pollination between different research fields, and to expose and discuss innovative theories, frameworks, methodologies, tools, and applications.

The ICBEC 2012 is Co-sponsored by Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society (APCBEES), and supported by CBEES Members and scholars from universities all round the world. Submitted conference papers will be reviewed by technical committees of the Conference.

ICBEC 2012 will be published in the Volume of Journal ( IPCBEE, ISSN: 2010-4618), and all papers will be included in the Engineering & Technology Digital Library, and indexed by Ei Geobase(Elsevier), Ulrich's Periodicals Directory, EBSCO, CNKI(中国知网), WorldCat, Google Scholar, and sent to be reviewed by Compendex and ISI Proceedings.

About 10 papers selected from the registered ones will be published in the International Journal of Bioscience, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics (IJBBB) free of charge.

One Excellent Paper will be selected from each oral session. The Certificate for Excellent Papers will be awarded in the Welcome Banquet on October 28, 2012.
