The NAAC conference is the premier national meeting on nontraditional teacher preparation. Participants represent: Alternative Certification or Licensure Programs, Transition to Teaching Programs, Troops to Teachers Programs, Urban Residency Programs, District HR Offices, State Agencies, Federal Agencies, Nonprofits, Community Colleges and Universities.

Held March 13-16, this year's theme, Ensuring Excellence: Innovations in Alternate Routes, builds on NAAC's 2012 theme of effective clinical practice by recognizing that successful and sustained innovation is the result of deliberate practice and ensuring excellence is the goal in all we do. Deliberate practice requires reflecting on what worked and what did not work and then focusing one's efforts on capitalizing on strengths while addressing weaknesses. Innovation requires a willingness to do things differently with the goal of achieving better results.

Who should attend - Nontraditional certification program administrators, teacher education faculty, mentors and support specialists, researchers, state agency administrators, certification specialists, human resources personnel, transition to teaching grantees, troops to teacher administrators, residency program administrators and interns.
