Natural resource management is receiving growing attention worldwide, mainly because of the scarcity, overuse and climate change.

Tackling resource scarcity, overpopulation and climate change is extremely complex globally as well as locally.

Fortunately, even complex issues can call for relatively simple steps.

The key to the success relates very much to the commitments and dedications at all levels; namely local, regional and global.

Aggressive measure in efficiently using the available resources is another dimension in tackling natural resource management.

Among the challenges facing our environment are energy supply, water shortages, biodiversity in both terrestrial as well as aquatic systems and overexploitation.

Clean energy, for instance, is to be promoted in order to properly and sustainably exploit the available fossil fuel. Our best bet would be the to turn our attention to renewable energy as well as biofuel.

Water supply is also declining worldwide, especially in our region because of the added harsh desert conditions.

Extreme measures are to be developed and adopted in order to slow down the ever‐increasing use of our water resources.

More efficient irrigation equipment and less water dependent crop and forage species are some of the recommendations from experts.
