18th Asia International Sugar Conference (AISC)
|Event Date/Time: Sep 26, 2012||End Date/Time: Sep 28, 2012|
According to market experts, it is believed that the demand of sugar will exceed supply by about 3 million metric tons this year in Asia. However, the deficit in Asia will be overcome by the excess supply in the global market, as world output is set to top demand for a second season in 2012-2013. The surplus may be 7.5 million tons this year and 4.5 million tons next year.
Expanding Asian economies and increasingly affluent populations are driving sugar consumption patterns. Long term demand fundamentals are sound, and sugar remains the commodity of choice for investors. Against this backdrop, the 18th Asia International Sugar Conference will create opportunities for industry in Asia’s trading hub – Singapore.
