Description

Nanoscience and Nanotechnology are vibrant, multidisciplinary fields flourishing in the 21st century. They involve physics, chemistry, biology, medicine and materials science. Nanoscience is focused on the unique properties of nanoscale materials and devices and the techniques that are used to synthesize, assemble and characterize such structures. The application of nanoscale materials and devices are dealt in nanotechnology. Nanomaterials captivate the materials world with their novel electronic, magnetic, optical, chemical and mechanical properties that cannot be obtained in their bulk counter parts. There is large academic interest in nanocrystalline systems due to a vast range of applications, such as in engineering, medicine, biomaterials and energy production. Nanotechnology will revolutionize material science, producing inexpensive materials with extraordinary properties, such as super-strong materials for manufacturing, bright-emitting materials for television and computer displays and much more.
The goal of the workshop to discuss latest developments in the field of nanomaterials and nanotechnology apart from the fundamental aspects of nanoscience. Experts in the field will talk on recent advances, difficulties, novel issues and breakthroughs in the field of nanomaterials and nanotechnology. The main focus is on the applications nanomaterials in optoelectronics, sensors, detectors and solid state lighting. The workshop includes a Key note, Invited talks and Plenary lectures by eminent Scientists and Academicians from Premier research centers and Universities of the country on the following topics.
1. Synthesis and Characterization of Nanomaterials
2. Luminescence properties of Nanomaterials
3. Nanomaterials in Sensors, Detectors and Lasers
4. Functional materials for Nanotechnology
5. Radiation effects on Nanomaterials
6. Applications of Nnanodevices in Technology
The workshop will be extremely useful in the wisdom of interdisciplinary gathering that it will be attended by physicists, chemists, biologists, technologists and engineers. The workshop will provide a platform to interact with experts and share their experience with them. It will help to explore the emerging trends in nanotechnology and plan for future collaborations. There is a huge scope for faculty and students in Engineering Institutions and Universities for research in this field. The organizing committee hereby invites faculty, researchers and technologists engaged in basic as well as applied research to participate in the workshop and get benefited from it.
