MARAM has been developed by the faculty of orthopaedic residency programs in the Mid-Atlantic region to complement the current training PGY3 & PGY4 residents receive by reinforcing basic arthroplasty concepts through didactic lectures and hands-on cadaver workshops. It seeks to pool the diverse experiences of the faculty of these training programs for the benefit of the residents and the patients they serve and to provide a forum for interaction of residents from different programs. This course also aims to expose residents to many different types of medical devices and implants compared to the current training they receive. The amount of information about hip and knee arthroplasty that needs to be imparted to orthopaedic residents continues to expand and this course seeks to assist each residency program in teaching this content.
