This course will enable the participant to understand the role of plain films and MRI in musculoskeletal injury and the role of CT in managing patients with acute chest and abdominal pain and trauma, for those radiology patients sent from the emergency department. In addition, the techniques of imaging and findings of acute injury will be emphasized. Questions and discussion from participants will be encouraged, especially during three sessions devoted to interesting cases.
Radiologists today increasingly are doing emergency imaging and it is the goal of the course to enhance the abilities of the radiologist to recommend appropriate emergency imaging and interpret emergency imaging studies of the musculoskeletal structures, chest and abdomen.
