The International Conference on Educational Economics will be organized by Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, University of Tartu and will take place at Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in Tartu, Estonia, on August 26 – 28, 2005.
The economic theory and business practice have been highlighted the importance of human capital as a key factor for economic growth and development. In formation of human capital a crucial role is played by education. This makes the economic analysis of the educational system or educational economics very important research field. In this framework the aggregation of different researchers into domestic and international network assures the academic environment needed for successful research.
The main topic of the conference will be Educational Economics.
Working language is English
We invite the submission of papers and proposals on four following sub-topics:
Education and labor market
Educational market and public policy
Financial management in the educational system
Performance management and remuneration in institutions of education.

By the end of June there will be announced accepted papers for conference, which will be issued on Conference CD.

International commitee will select papers that will be published in the book of conference atricles. The finally published papers will be peer-reviewed.

Submission requirements
Abstracts should conform to the following specifications:
- Title of paper
- Name(s) of author(s), with the surname of the correspondent author in CAPITALS
- Institution affiliation, e-mail and addresses of authors
- Abstract (single-spaced)
Authors have the option to submit abstracts and papers by electronic mail.

Authors will be provided with detailed guidelines for full-text layout.
The articles should be up to 25 pages, in format A4, line space 1.5.

Conference Fee For a casual visitor, the conference fee is 100 Euros, for students the fee is only 40 Euros. Traveling and accommodation costs will be covered for plenary session speakers.
