The $20 Billion U.S. Marianas Build-up: America’s Future in Asia
Conference Description

The U.S. Military has initiated plans to transform the U.S. Mariana Islands (Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands) into a hub for America’s military presence in Asia. Located in the heart of the Western Pacific, the Mariana Islands are at the threshold of a new future for American business in the region. While the U.S. economy from California to the state of Maine struggles, the economies of the U.S. Territories in the Mariana Islands are about to boom.

The Marianas U.S. military buildup will create $20 billion in U.S. Federal, Department of Defense, Government of Japan, and local government construction and service contracts for the region over the next five to ten years. Identified as one of the largest peacetime military construction and service investments in 50 years, this buildup is drawing the attention of businesses throughout the United States. Hita I Marianas, a group of business people and young professionals from the region, would like to invite you to come to the Omni Hotel in San Diego, California from May 24th to May 26th to learn more.

Top federal, military and officials from the Marianas will be on hand to explain why you should consider the business development opportunities that are growing in the region. Marianas businesses will be there seeking partners to take advantage of what they believe is a new future for America in Asia.

The Honorable Felix P. Camacho, Governor of Guam, and the Honorable Benigno R. Fitial, Governor of the CNMI, will address the forum. In addition, key Navy and Naval Facilities Command (NAVFAC) representatives have been invited to present along with business and government leaders of the region to assist you in determining whether or not investing in the Marianas is right for your company.
